Location:
Herrsching is located about 40km/25miles south west of Munich. The conference will be held at the Andechser Hof www.andechserhof.de. Herrsching is directly at Lake Ammer (Ammersee). The rural and grand lifestyles on the lake co-exists harmoniously. Lake Ammer is also called the "Peasant's Lake". The Monastery of Andechs, not only a popular place of pilgrimage but also famous for its beer, lies at the lake atop. Not to forget the four other lakes: "Starnbergersee", "Wörthsee", "Pilsensee", and "Wesslingersee", which offer the possibility of swimming and sailing in the summer and ice-hockey and skating in the winter. From the close setting of these lakes, the region is called "Five Lakes Country".
Only about 60km/37miles away you come to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the city of the fourth Olympic winter-games. By building "Schloss Linderhof" and "Schloss Neuschwanstein" King Ludwig II of Bavaria constructed fabulous fairytale palaces that were furnished with a host of technical gadgets despite its romantic appearance.
